Collaboration is key in my classroom. I strive to create lessons that implement student-led discovery and teamwork. You can see the important life skill of collaboration developing during Math stations, STEM-centered lessons, and Science experiments. My students are constantly in communication with each other, working together to achieve success. LEGO building bricks and a variety of other building materials allow my students to work independently, in pairs, and in small groups on the same goal of engineering something that works! My students will be able to use these materials to build during morning work to spark their imaginations before the day begins, Math stations for addition and subtraction, indoor recess, STEM-inspired designing, and so much more. I cannot wait to see my students' collaborative abilities grow through the implementation of LEGOs and different building materials.
