Technology has become so important in our society today and I completely see the benefits of using it in the classroom, especially considering all the amazing resources available to teachers today. I am in need of headphones for each of my students to be able to fully use the technology that is available to them. The headphones I need for my classroom will be utilized daily for assessments, extra literacy and math practice, as well as interventions for my students. I will be able to use more technology with my students with a class set of headphones, because it will be easier for each child to focus on what they are working on. We all know it's much easier to work in a calm, quiet, environment. When you have 25 students working on an iPad that is reading directions to them, "dinging" when they get a correct answer, or singing a song, it can become very chaotic and distracting. If I am able to have a class set of good, durable headphones, my students will be able to focus more and, I believe, will be able to learn better while using technology.
