I will use this for a supplemental reading instruction for non-fiction. I believe it is important for kids to know what is happening in the world. Most children do not have any idea of real life things that are taking place. I also know that our English Language Learners have a harder time with reading non-fiction texts. I will pull small groups based on their reading levels to help them achieve understanding. We will practice test taking strategies and learn standards required to be taught statewide. The quiz and magazine help them go back to the source to pull evidence on why they chose their answer.
