We are a group of energetic, fifth graders. We love reading and talking about books. We attend a public school in Chicago. Our classroom population is made up of readers who are continuously learning the English and Spanish languages and who really need to hear printed text in order to gain understanding. Our class is bilingual and we promote reading to younger students through our "buddy reading" with first graders. We love this activity because we can share our reading abilities with younger students. We also create and share talking books with our "reading buddies!"
