Technology is a big part of our classroom. We watch educational videos, use the interactive whiteboard​ to practice learned skills, and many of my students who are nonverbal use low tech communication devices to answer questions or speak. With these iPads, my students will be able to do even more academic activities that are visually stimulating and more engaging than traditional paper/pencil methods. Currently half of my class has a visual or physical impairment that requires the use of technology for them to meaningfully participate in class. These iPads will help give my nonverbal students a voice! They can be used as a communication device or a listening center. With your help, my students will have the opportunity to further their learning and reach their highest potential.
