Classrooms do not look the same as they used to. The days of kids sitting at uncomfortable desks and plastic chairs all day long are no more! My students will almost always choose sitting on the floor with a clipboard, or at the table with friends over the traditional desks. The amazing thing? They are so much more quiet, engaged, and on task sitting at a table or the floor than when they are at a desk! By donating to this project, you will be helping my students have more choices in where they sit to learn and engage in my classroom. Learning happens differently for every child, so providing different options such as large group tables, small group tables, and individual floor stands provide options for students to work where they are the most comfortable. Seating options like wobble stools and stability balls also provide a release for kids who like to move around so they can wobble and bounce to their heart's content while learning at the same time!
