In a school where the entire population receives free lunch, it’s easy to see why I’d be in such need of the basics as students in my district can’t afford to purchase a lunch, let alone a pencil. My students may be of low socioeconomic status but that doesn’t stop their big dreams. It takes a village and my students are worth it. From calculations with a calculator to some markers to put on a coordinate plane, my students need it all. It all starts with a pencil and dream. Help me help them succeed and break down all the barriers!
