The benefits from flexible seating can be incredible! Even more so for students with Autism that may need to move, wiggle and scoot while learning. Many students in my classroom like to wiggle while they learn as this helps them focus and stay regulated. Currently they have access to minimal seating options in the classroom and often get creative in order to find ways to move during class times. Although we encourage and love their creativity, the ways the come up with may not always carry over as appropriate with peers. We always hope to teacher appropriate tools so that students may carry these on with them into their future work places! These stools will provide an appropriate seating options when the wiggles are needed!
