Most of these items are basic things you would see in many classrooms around the US. What people don't realize is those materials are not provided by the school. This is all out the the teachers already small paycheck. We need a rocking chair for story time and a book display to encourage the drive to read. Our heat/air conditioning is controlled from central offices downtown; therefore, a fan is absolutely necessary when it hits May. We would use the organizational bins to store papers. Our school collects a lot of moisture and if the paper gets wet, it breaks the copy machines. Therefore, we need to keep paper in plastic containers. We need basic, colored printing items to make learning more exciting. The photo storage boxes provide so many storage opportunities for new and engaging station activities. It is important to have new stations during each unit to ensure students are working on relevant material. These storage containers are the perfect solution. Toy tubs will actually be used to organize tiered books. Students in my class read between a level A and a level M. This toy bin holder would be used to separate leveled books to ensure students can find materials on his/her reading level. Other miscellaneous items are included to help the year run smoothly. These children deserve the world and they are often overlooked. I would love to be able to show them how small of a wonderful world we live in.
