With the impact of Covid19 in our schools, my students have really fallen behind academically, as the data has shown. My goal is to build my students fluency and their love of reading. I am working on building their background knowledge with nonfiction books, fluency with leveled readers, and a love for reading with high interest non fiction books. Many students lack the ability to get to a library or do not have leveled books at home. This is why it is so important to have a leveled library in the classroom equipped with high interest fiction and nonfiction books.
