My new classroom is filled with computers, but nowhere where students can sketch, cut, glue, build, or test prototypes. I would use the tables individually to create work stations where small groups can collaborate on projects, anything from building foot orthosis to building bridges. Mobility will provide our room with flexibility. When we gather for "table time," demonstrations, or presentations, we can wheel the tables together in a variety of formations, making it easy to communicate with one another. Because space is limited, being able to move the tables aside, will provide floor space for students to work with robots. Without the tables, we will be working either at the computer desks or on the floor.
