Rockport 6th grade science students will work on a few design challenges as part of the science frameworks. We would like students to present their engineering efforts to an authentic audience, to increase motivation and excitement. Specifically, we would like 6th graders’ to present their “Milk Snake Incubation Device” Design Challenge, to Rick Roth, Cape Ann Vernal Pond. Rick would ask these questions to each 6th grader: 1. Please show and explain your snake egg incubation design 2. Tell me how you tested your hot pack chemicals in the lab? 3. After sharing your design with another student, how did you improve it? 4. Is there anything you would change about your current design? Rick would work with four 6th grade classes from 8:30- 1:30. Rick brings approximately 20 snakes and most importantly the native milk snake, as the “Milk Snake Incubation Device Design Challenge” culminating event.
