With these two items, I can create a sensory corner in my special education classroom. I have multiple students who constantly seek sensory stimulation like deep pressure, swinging, jumping, and crawling. With a sensory corner, my students can obtain appropriate stimulation when they need it without having to leave the room. I believe that my students will be more focused during the day and display fewer behaviors with a sensory corner. I have multiple students who display severe behaviors in my room, but that doesn't stop me from believing in them. It just means I find more creative ways to support them in their educational journey. This is one jump in that direction!
