I have been teaching kindergarten all year in a classroom that was meant for grades 1-5. We don't have any amenities that most kindergarten classrooms have, including a bathroom, cubbies, a lowered water fountain, and tables that are appropriate for students ages four to six. Currently, my students are using desks that they have a lot of trouble sitting and learning at. I have previously taught kindergarten in a room with tables and they make much more sense for students at this age. I truly believe having tables instead of individual desks will increase collaboration and productivity for these young learners. Please help me provide a suitable learning environment for my students.
