The point-and-shoot cameras I am requesting through DonorChoose.org will allow students to have their own for photography class. Having their own camera to use for the class will allow them to use their creativity while taking photo assignments throughout the semester. Some of the photo assignments where students can demonstrate their creativity are patterns in nature, leading line, mood, taking pictures of family and friends in the portrait lesson, sunrises, and sunsets, demonstrating rule of thirds, framing, and point of view, using creativity in taking photos of frolicking in the snow, what is a Winter Wonderland, as well as students doing several scavenger hunts. During the semester students will use various photos from their assignments to create interesting projects in Photoshop. Getting cameras into the hands of my students will give them a greater avenue to explore their talents.
