This book will make a difference to my students because it will give them the opportunity to learn about life on the prairie. This book will also give them the opportunity to learn about Oklahoma where the book takes place. I also would like to be able to use these books so my class can do a book club and learn to enjoy books and discussing books with peers. This book would be a great addition to the book club and to my class. I selected this book for the book club because we can study what life was like in a different era. We can build on this by doing different projects on sod and how it was used as a building material and the use of Native American remedies for malaria in history.
