Kindergarten is the first major step in a student's school career. Currently, my students are learning how to read, write and openly communicate. Not only are they discovering what they can learn, but how they can learn. At this age level, students rely heavily on tactile resources. Most of my Kindergarteners learn through visuals and/or the manipulation of tangible objects. These materials will guide and support my students through a multitude of subjects, in a variety of formats. A former college professor of mine always used the phrase, "Hands-on, minds-on." With these resources my students will be heavily engaged. Each learner will have an autonomy over his/her learning. And, they have the freedom to learn through inquiry and exploration.
