I have a great group of kids! They are so eager to learn new things. Their favorite activities are the hands-on things we do every day. They love Friday cooking especially. We are an active group! Always busy, always moving. Because of our love for movement, it is incorporated into as much of the day as possible. In my classroom, children learn to read through integrated literacy units, practice math skills, and learn about the world around them in science and social studies. Students also work on life, social, and self care skills in my room. I teach students with special needs in grades K through 5th. Many of my students have autism. Others have language delays, Down Syndrome, hearing impairments, and/or cognitive impairments. I teach at a public school in Indiana.
