I want to spend the last couple weeks of school reading a book together as a class. Many 6th graders won’t give verse novels a chance, and Inside Out and Back Again is a fabulous book to show them the great things a book in verse has to offer. We spend our time discussing themes such as family, the effects of war, and how to over come adversity. This book will lend us great discussion points that are relevant to our lives and will allow my students to see the world through a different perspective. This book is a great way to finish the year off!
