Flexible seating allows students to take control of their own education by choosing where and how they learn. Flexible seating is beneficial because it provides student choice, promotes collaboration and allows students to move. Currently in our classroom, students have several seating options including wobble discs, crate seats, and stools. I have noticed how excited my students are when they are given the choice of where to sit, which has led to an increase in student engagement. The products that I chose will help my students by giving them more seating options, as well as replacing some of our current seating that is no longer in good condition. All of the ball chairs will allow students to wiggle and move while working. Our classroom has wood flooring and the soft seat cushions will allow students to choose any spot in the room and make it comfortable. I am confident that these seating options will help my students now and in the future.
