In order for learning to be meaningful, students must take ownership in what and how they learn. By providing my students with more flexible seating options, I will be able to establish a classroom environment that is conducive to student choice and student voice. This will put the power of learning in students' hands. Giving students a say in HOW they learn can directly impact WHAT they learn and how they perform academically, behaviorally, and socially. A flexible classroom lends itself to collaborative learning and opportunities for enrichment by allowing students to move freely and form relationships with peers through hands-on, engaging activities.

About my class
