The materials I am able to collect will go in our new "Dog Yard" workout area. This area will be used for PE classes, student athletes, our special education and therapy students, as well as a place for students who need to decompress or destress during the day. Many students don't enjoy or are unable to participate in traditional PE classes and games, this project will change that. This workout area will allow students to gain access to workouts that will benefit them now and can be used for lifelong fitness. The exercise equipment will be set up in a set up in a separate workout space called the "dog yard" (this fits with our mascot: the Bulldogs). Students will have access to this workout area as part of PE, or after school athletics. In addition to that our Adaptive PE class will use this room to accommodate their students with disabilities and work on fine and gross motor skills. This area will also be used for students struggling with their emotions as a place for them to decompress or destress during the day.
