By allowing students options for the seats they do art in, their creativity can flow more freely. Allowing students to stand, or sit on the floor, or sit in bean bag chairs, or just use regular height tables, the possibilities are endless. In an art classroom, students should be offered different seating types so they are more productive and more focused. Students can get antsy in the classroom and don't always want to sit and do art for long periods of time. By giving different ways to sit and be in the classroom, I feel students won't be so fidgety and have choice over how they do their project. I would like to have regular tables, high tables, low tables and a bean bag/pillow area for students to use while doing art projects.
