Students at every age love to take ownership of their learning and have choice to do so. Flexible seating in my kindergarten classroom will give my students to ability to make those decisions and feel comfortable with how they are learning. My 5- and 6- years olds will have the ability to sit at a table, while others will be able to sit on the floor to apply their learning. The options at the tables, such as the wobble stools, will allow the students to get their wiggles out in a way that is not distracting to others in the classroom, and allows them the freedom to continue to move in our learning environment and remain included in our lessons.
