We have starting blocks that are 14years old and are rusty. Our tape measures have tape on the end to extend it so it's complete. We have a rubber discus that is not allowed in the region and state competition. All this new equipment will help with pride in our track program. We are a title 1 school with 80% free and reduced lunch. Most of the school resources go towards educational equipment which is great, but athletics also help build school pride and a sense of community. We are in need of new equipment. Our track team has the opportunity to win a state title. Old equipment won't help us reach that goal as quick. Our school needs something like this to come together as a community. The new equipment will instill that want and pride.
