Student's often see reading as a chore or an unpleasant necessity. In giving my students a comfy reading nook, I hope to provide them with a totally different outlook on the time spent reading books. Providing a designated place to read and enjoy books creates a desire to continue to read and enjoy books even outside of the classroom. Sparking curiosity and encouraging student's to read is by far my top priority. Breaking up the monotony of having student's to read at their desks and not have the option to be comfortable or to even lie down on a nice rug is the true goal of my project.
