Wildcats want to read! Tablets make reading fun and easy! Digital books allow students to enjoy books in a different format. Students will use these tablets to read multiple copies of the same book or a wide variety of ebooks. Students will also listen to audiobooks. Even books that are not within the library's own print collection will be accessible! These portable tablets can be used anywhere in the library. With ebooks and audiobooks, emerging readers and students with learning disabilities will be able to listen to books as they see the text, connecting the spoken word to print. In addition, students using ebooks can conveniently adjust the text size or font to meet their personal vision needs. Adding these tablets to the library will allow easy access to high quality literature in a meaningful and enjoyable way for all students, especially those who struggle to read traditional print books.
