Books about different world cultures will allow our ELL students the opportunity to shine. These leveled readers provide access to information our middle schoolers are unable to find on our campus - our current books are too cumbersome with language. Our students are engaged and excited when they get the opportunity to share about their home country. Adding books, at their reading level, about the different countries represented at our school will allow our ELL students, and others, to explore, learn, and celebrate unknown cultures. Preserving cultural diversity is an important focus for our school as we continue to welcome more ELL students and their families throughout the year.

About my class
