I want my kids to be excited and ready to come to school everyday instead of their parents having to fight them to get going. I want my room to be student centered and focus on student CHOICE. My dream is to create a full flexible seating classroom so my students can experience a comfortable setting in school that doesn't involve just plastic chairs and wooden desk. I like to explain flexible seating like: When you go home and do paperwork or read a book where do you go? Some of you may like to sit at the table while others may sit in their recliner or lay in bed. I could give all of my students stools but what about those that "like to do paperwork in their recliner?" Not everyone can relax and work in the same setting or seat. Kids need to be able to identify what works best for them. I believe that we are able to focus and work best when we are relaxed and I that's what I am hoping to provide my kiddos.
