Students enrolled at our high school complete courses such as: Livestock Production, Small Animal Management, Equine Science, Vet Med Applications, Advanced Animal Science and complete a Practicum Course. Many of these students are devoted to being a Veterinarian Assistant, Veterinarian Technician and Veterinarian or work in the livestock industry. Many of the students have already chosen their pathway for their future as a Veterinarian, Agriculture Science Teacher, or County Extension Agent. I hope to give my students a hands-on learning opportunity in Animal Science with several different simulation tools to use in the classroom to get some hands-on practical experience in the classroom. Students will learn how to ear tag cattle, give IV’s to animals, check vitals on a dog, and also watch educational videos about feeder cattle grading, it is important for students to know how these processes work and function if they want to continue in the agriculture field.

About my class
