All materials from this class will benefit both my Statistics and Geometry classes. I want students to be able to visualize dense mathematical concepts with useful hands-on materials. I use many lessons from the website Stats Medic, which recommends having these materials on hand at all times to really create an immersive learning experience. Some of these lessons include answering fun, engaging, or insightful questions like "Does Beyonce Write Her Own Song Lyrics?" and "Can Joy Smell Parkinson's?" We investigate these questions and display our findings using the materials in this project. Another item I've included is a calculator holder; thankfully, my school was able to fund calculators for my classes, but I do not currently have a way to store them! The calculator holder will let me focus on the lessons as opposed to counting calculators!
