This light will allow me to create a "Grow Room" where students can experience how to grow and care for plants. For many students, this will be a first time experience. This project will be used throughout the year by me as well as other teachers. In addition to the academic advantages of learning through hands-on experiences, research has shown that children working with plants tend to be calmer and less stressed. This is a bonus, as many of my students have challenging personal lives. The many aspects of this project will have positive effects on my students, both educationally and emotionally.
