Many of my students don't read books outside of the classroom. They spend their time playing games and watching videos. These books will allow students to read along with me. They will have the book to refer back to during their independent reading time and hopefully when we do a learning project about the text. Looking at themes of respect throughout the book. Respect is one of our 3 key principals through the school. Then the students will be able to take these books home, as something to read outside the building and a way to share their love of reading with their families.
