As the only tech teacher at the school site, I plan on using this 3D printer to accentuate the excitement that my students show every time they enter my class. This printer will provide me with a way to help bring my student's creations to life by using a combination of engineering methodology and pedagogy. The ability to test out original creations on real-life problems while using the design process is something that can help motivate a student to become interested in technology as a career. 3D design and manufacturing combine many of the core subjects (if not all) that we teach in school. Giving the students the chance to experience what it feels like to create something from nothing is an experience that can shape the rest of their lives.
