Using the light up individual activity centers will give my students a better understanding of sounds and letters. My students are two to three grade levels below their current grade. I teach small groups all day. Each group has five to six students. I use many different types of manipulatives to help students be able to understand phonics and be able to decode words that they do not know. This light up activity is just another great idea. The students can manipulate transparent letters and transparent shapes to be able to decode a word, see the sounds in the words and then read those words!
