The music stands I am requesting will enable my guitar and fiddle groups the ability to stand up or sit in chairs while practicing. Currently, students must sit on the floor in order to see the music folders that I have created for them. During our before and after school club rehearsals, we are only able to stand and play as a group if the piece is already memorized. Music stands would allow students to create the appropriate height and angle for their music which would result in a tremendous improvement for guitar and fiddle practice versus reading music off of the floor. Currently, students begin rehearsals enthusiastically yet tire quickly. The addition of music stands would give students the ability to rehearse more comfortably. This could have a tremendous impact on our overall program as students would have an increased feeling that their rehearsal time is valuable and productive. Thank you!
