Working in an urban school has many benefits and some limits. My students come from many diverse backgrounds. Learning about them and gaining a deeper understanding of the whole child has been a favorite benefit through my 20 years as a teacher. Our school has many strong collaborating relationships with our neighborhood, community members, local colleges, business and outstanding PTO. My current and future Donors Choose project goals will be to get my classroom closer toward 21st century standards. Creating a balanced environment in which all learning profiles can thrive. Cultivating social and independent practice minded spaces. Expanding our working library to meet all their diverse interests. Thank you so much. We work very hard every day and gaining more access to and embedding technology into our everyday will only allow us all to thrive. Thank you again.
