This project is in conjunction with an effort from administration to close the achievement gap for students of color by having books in their native language, Spanish. When we see what students need as a team, we tune in on the project to focus on addressing literacy, and our goal is to make yearly reading book bags for our at-risk youth that are reading below grade level. In order to do this, we are attempting to create a wish list that the students themselves chose and were excited to ask for. These books are what they're passionate about and what they personally requested simply as a "wish." Thank you for taking the time and for considering us when donating!
