Through attending the American School Counseling Association conference, I will have the opportunity to learn additional support techniques to assist my students with improving their socioemotional wellness. The focus on students' mental wellness as well as specific issues related to cultural needs, will provide additional educational successes for our students. Topics discussed at this conference include trauma-informed school communities, supporting ethnic needs of students, wellness and self-care, addressing anxieties and depression in school aged students, family dynamics and the impact this has on students' academic success as well as many more.

About my class
