A large and diversified book collection will encourage the development of self-awareness, empathy, and understanding through stories that help our students see the world through the eyes of others! So often our students are only exposed to the single narrative to represent whole groups of people. Through the purchase of a variety of genres and authors, these books will promote a genuine curiosity for our students about the world they live in, as well as to guide them to develop a deeper appreciation and understanding of cultures, opinions, and practices of those who do not live in our tiny corner of the world.

About my class
