Over half of my senior class is considered free and reduced lunch, and many do not have technology at home that they can keep once they graduate high school. Each student is provided with a school-issued Chromebook, but once they graduate these Chromebooks are returned to the school. To help further their education I am asking for a donation of Fire Tablets. To succeed in college students must have technology. Every day our world is using technology more and more, from sending emails, to typing up essays and reports. Without a device that can connect to the internet students are at a distinct disadvantage. College is already hard, imagine how much harder it would be trying to make it to the library, find an open computer, and get your work done as fast as possible. Having an Amazon Fire Tablet allows my students to connect anywhere and complete their college coursework on their schedule.
