I currently have a large collection of amazing Orff xylophones and metallophones. They are wonderful and the students love them. However, we are unable to use them to their full extent due to lack of number and quality of mallets. With the proper number and type of mallets, my students will be able to use these instruments to learn many more techniques and songs, expanding their learning greatly. Playing mallet instruments with two mallets will improve student fine motor skills. It will also allow them to explore the concept of harmony, and teach them to play rolls and fermatas more efficiently.
