My students have a wide range of academic strengths. In order to maximize their learning in both math and reading, students are taught in a small group environment. Students have independent work centers, teacher small group rotations, and collaboration projects. Each rotation is planned with individual student needs in mind, whether it be number sense, phonics review or writing composition. A horseshoe table and accompanying chairs would provide a comfortable and personalized learning environment where I can instruct small groups of students, while providing instant feedback and content remediation to meet students individual needs on an ongoing basis. My students academic success is my number one priority. Each individual student deserves the opportunity to have a focused learning environment that encourages, motivates, and celebrates a positive atmosphere. A horseshoe table and chairs would provide my students with a positive, focused, and structured small group environment for them to grow as scholars.
