We still have 52 days of school left but have exhausted our supply of glue sticks. My class use glue sticks throughout the day including when we utilize our Math and Science notebooks. Many of my five and six year olds lack the fine motor skills necessary to use glue bottles so we use glue sticks instead. They also dry faster and are less of a mess when gluing items in our notebooks. We sometimes work outdoors in our Science notebooks and glue sticks are easier for my class to carry outside. I have made several requests to families; however, due to financial hardships, many are just unable to honor this request.
