Utilizing technology in the classroom has profound impacts on the reading and writing levels of students with learning disabilities and students who are English language learners. By the time my students come to me in 4th grade, they are already years behind their peers. Having reliable technology in the classroom makes a world of difference when it comes to giving students the opportunity to have personal time practicing their reading. These tablets will be utilized mainly during guided reading sessions in tandem with the Google classroom where I can monitor my students and provide specific reading material and activities straight to their tablet.
