During this time of the year, my students' love for reading really begins to take off. Teaching students to read is the goal we all strive for, but teaching a love for reading is what I really aim for. In order for this to happen, my students need a variety of reading materials to choose from. The guided reading books will help me get my students to the next level and provide support to my struggling readers. The independent reading books will provide my students the opportunity to practice reading strategies learned during guided reading. These reading sets will provide my students with colorful pages of multi-level reading material that will meet the needs of all of my students. The non-fiction reading sets will provide my students with real life material to read. My students also love reading about fairy tales and fantasy. Having a variety of genres for the children to explore will heighten their curiosity and increase their love for reading.
