My new classroom is in a Title One school in Western North Carolina and I absolutely love working here. I enjoy working with every student each day but I feel bad that I can't give them everything they need. There is no extra money available to purchase new teaching materials for the classroom and our old reading textbooks do not mesh with the new Core Curriculum that is now required by the state of North Carolina. I really need a subscription to some classroom magazines that would keep my students reading more current material like engaging reader's theaters which they love but I have trouble using because making all the copies is cost prohibitive.
