There are many benefits of using technology in the classroom. It increases student engagement, benefits a range of learning styles, and can also provide practical student needs such as speech development tools. However, my school district which services many low-income families, does not have the resources or funding to provide access to technology in every classroom. By providing iPads for my students, they would be exposed to technology that is appropriate and useful to their development, which is necessary in today's society. There are so many technology tools out there and we would like them to be able to use them in a way to boost their learning. My students will use these iPads during center time to promote early academic learning. We will also use them for small group time as an independent station. I also have some students that will use these iPads for Speech Development. through interactive instruction my students will build the foundation they need to succeed.
