Students will be able to apply mathematical skills and concepts to current events using Scholastic Math. Each issue ties into our math standards allowing for additional application. Scholastic Math provides students the opportunity to make connections between math, reading, social studies, science and real world problems. Students will be engaged and active in discussions based on the topics found in Scholastic Math. Each issue covers multiple topics which can peak each student's interest. Topics range from music to science to statistics for sports and physical education. Students need the opportunity to see how math evolves outside of the classroom environment.
