Purchasing this shredder will allow my students to prepare for future workplace experiences. In Pennsylvania, our students transition from school to work through a variety of vocational learning activities and programs. In my classroom, students will utilize this shredder as part of the school-wide recycling program. They will also assist our office staff in the destruction of documents that are usually sent out to a third-party vendor. Students will be engaged and active learners with the addition of this equipment into the curriculum. Students will learn by having hands-on experiences with actual jobs that are available to them in the private sector. Students will also be engaged in social interactions with peers, faculty, staff, and administrators further progressing their transition from school to work. This allows for personal and professional growth as both a student and a future employee.
